Potato and tuna jams in crust

Here is one of those recipes perfect for every occasion and in every season, excellent as appetizer or second course, tasty both hot and cold: potato meatloaf and tuna in crust. A very tasty dish and just as easy to prepare, which with its crust of golden and crunchy pastry is very well and certainly not disfigured even on Sunday tables!

Tuna and potatoes in sheet of pastry: the easy recipe
The ingredients that we need are very easy to find and usually already present in our homes: potatoes, eggs, canned tuna, grated cheese, breadcrumbs, olives and then aromas and spices to flavor our fish meatloaf, which we will prepare in the most classic of ways, that is, by mixing all the ingredients in a bowl. Easy and fast as I like it!
Once the mixture is ready, we will wrap it in a roll of puff pastry, which we will brush with egg red before baking. Result: a soft crust meatloaf in the inner and crunchy outside, delicious and full of taste.
The potato meatloaf and tuna in crusted is also perfect to prepare the day before serving, we will then just heat it a little in the oven or in the microwave and will immediately regain its fragrance and its taste. But even cold, at room temperature, is still delicious!

- In a bowl we crush the boiled potatoes, helping us with a fork.
- We add the eggs, salt and pepper, nutmeg and chopped parsley and mix everything with a fork.
- Now we combine the mixture with tuna and incorporate
- We also add grated cheese, the sliced olives and the breadcrumbs. We mix everything well.
- We prepare the roll of puff pastry and arrange the mixture in the center of the rectangle. With our hands we compare it and give it a regular shape.
- We close over the dough and seal the edges.
- We place the meatloaf in a baking sheet covered with parchment paper and brush it with egg red.
- We bake and bake in a ventilated oven at 185 degrees C for 35-40 minutes, or in a static oven at 195 degrees C for the same time
- Once our potato and tuna meatloaf in crust has been baked, let’s do it a little cool before cutting it and enjoy it!

Advices
As an alternative to puff pastry, we can safely use the brisée pasta or even the salted pastry. We can also enrich the meatloaf by adding capers or pickles to the filling.
