A classic of Word cuisine, tasty and delicious, which is usually served as an appetizer or second course: the seafood salad! I want to share with you my personal recipe, very simple and with few ingredients but really delicious.
Seafood salad: the easy and tasty recipe
My salad is made with octopus, squid, cutellfish and shrimp. I used fresh fish and that’s what I recommend to you too. Rely on your trusted fishmonger, the taste of the dish will earn in quality and goodness!
To enrich the dish with taste, I used the gardener and naturally prepared the typical sea salad dressing: extra virgin olive oil, lemon juice, chopped fresh parsley and a pinch of salt and pepper.

The preparation is very simple, but you need some small tricks to get a really superlative result. For example, a trick to make the octopus soft, in addition to letting it cool in the cooking water, is to add a cork in the water while it is cooking. I also suggest that you let all the fish cool well before cutting it, so that it does not fray.
It is a perfect dish for a thousand occasions: Sunday lunches, fish dinners with friends and special occasions such as Christmas or New Year’s Eve.

Method
- We pour the water into a pot and bring to a boil together with half a lemon. We go up and cook the octopus for about 30 minutes. Then we turn the heat off and let the octopus cool into the cooking water, so that it softens.
- Let’s bring another pot of water to a boil. We go up and put the cuttlefish, cooking them for 10-15 minutes
- Then we remove the cuttlefish from the pot and start cooking the squid for about 10 minutes.
- Remove the squid, let's put the shrimp to cook for 2-3 minutes.
- When all the ingredients are cooled, we cut the squid and cuttlefish with stripes and the octopus into 2-3 cm pieces
- We combine everything in a large bowl and add the gardener.
- We season with lemon juice, olive oil, salt and pepper.

- We chop the parsley and add this in the bowl, stirring so that everything is flavored well.

Advices
This is a traditional recipe that lends itself to many variations. Many also use seafood, such as clams and mussels; others do not use the gardener but fresh vegetables cut into cubes. Still others do not add anything to the fish, if not the seasoning and lemon wedges. In short, this dish is easily customizable, but it is always delicious!
Preservation
After preparing it, we put our seafood salad in the fridge and bring it to the table when it is cold. But not too much, otherwise the flavors will feel less.
